Until you’ve walked the walk, and talked the talk, you’ll never really KNOW. And, on your journey you’ll get advice from everyone who has had a similar idea, tried to start a business, had a business, knows someone with a business, teaches business classes, or who successfully manages a business.

I believe that these people mean well and want to see you successful, but they have limited knowledge on something they’ve never fully experienced. The best example I have of this comes from one of the Top 5 Books I Recommend Every Entrepreneur Read, The Richest Man In Babylon. To make a long story short, the main character tried investing his money in a shield business with a man who worked as a cloth maker. The investment failed because the cloth maker clearly didnโ€™t know a thing about the shield industry. The lesson in this section of this story is find an expert in the field you are looking to venture in to, and who has been successful (however you define success), and can prove it.

On this journey you’ll need counsel from those that can give sound advice that will challenge you to evaluate, critically think, and explore all possibilities. Sometimes, just have a soundboard to bounce ideas off of and offer feedback when needed helps. The feedback has to come from a place that someone has been, not some where they’ve tried to go and quit, failed, or learned.

What I’ve learned about entrepreneurship is that it is the ultimate test of faith and belief in the vision that you’ve been gifted. To see this vision through to fruition takes a whole lot of fortitude, evolution, and sticktoitiveness. It’s not for everyone, and that’s ok. It’s what you become after achieving success in this journey that’s is invaluable. It’s the knowledge and experience you can’t teach or advise on, unless you’ve been through the fire and come out on the other side.

Steely Dan – Any Major Dude Will Tell You

My advice is surround yourself with entrepreneurs that are in the trenches with you and those who are thriving in their business. They’ll be able to share war stories with you, offer some sound advice, and help guide you through the challenges that come with creating something. I went through this journey figuring it all out myself. Failing along the way, making adjustments, trying again, and connecting with others along the way. Some lasted, some quit, some have seen success, and some have started new businesses birth from their original idea. Those that are still on the journey

I’ve been onboard a lot of entrepreneur’s journey as they started and have watch them conquer their fears and continue the journey. I’ve played my role in helping them along the way and connecting them with each other. This evolved into a private group, and now into The Fearless Entrepreneur Mastermind Group.

The mastermind group concept was inspired by the book Think & Grow Rich. What we do is connect, share, pool resources, advise, and hold each other accountable for our promises to ourselves, and our business ideas. There are intense consulting in the first 3 months to help you gain momentum and get you into action. Then, you get access to courses, workshops, monthly check-ins, you’ll get the moral support you need and the confidence to keep pushing forward.

The honest truth is no one will truly be able to guide you through this journey better than yourself. Your entrepreneurial journey is uniquely crafted to the person you are and the person you need to become o achieve the things you’re interested in achieving. They journey is way more enjoyable when your surrounded by others in that same space.

I hope you create the days you want, and create with no fear!
